The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District strives to invest in the development of future parks and recreation leaders! Join the team today!
The purpose of the Recreation program is to gain a hands-on experience in key areas of the field and to encourage talented students within the area of Parks and Recreation.
We offer an educational experience that is beneficial to students seeking a career in the Parks and Recreation field. Internships are offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall of every year.

Application Process
To be considered for a recreation internship with the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District, all candidates must submit the following items:
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Student Internship Program Details – from Student's University
- Letter of Recommendation from Academic Advisor
Once all application paperwork has been received, the FORPD Human Resources Manager will contact the applicant for an interview. Please review your desired department's Internship Description prior to applying.
Interviews are conducted in person at the FORPD office. Phone interviews are on a case-by-case basis.

The A&E Division seeks to encourage the next generation of arts and entertainment leaders and gain valuable insight as we launch our newest division and expand our arts and entertainment programming – classes, concerts, and more.
Individuals interested in recreation, art history, studio art, art education, marketing, social media/photography, research, event planning, and business fields are encouraged to apply.

Application Process
To be considered for an arts & entertainment internship with the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District, all candidates must submit the following items:
- Cover Letter – Please include days/times you are most interested in and why you are interested in and internship with FORPD Arts & Entertainment
- Resume (two-page maximum)
